How to Build an Outdoor Storage Bench

1. Pressure-treated timber (such as 2”x4” for the frame and 1”x4” for the slats)

Step 1: Planning and Measurement Begin by determining the size of your bench. A comfortable length is typically around 1.5 metres, with a depth of about 60 cm. Use measuring tape to mark your dimensions on the timber.

Step 5: Finishing Touches Once assembled, apply a coat of wood preservative or outdoor paint to protect your bench from the elements. Allow it to dry completely before placing any cushions or items on top.
